Sonographers are medical professionals who work in both NHS and private practice, diagnosing using video and ultrasound scan devices. The sonographer requires advanced ultrasound physics and cross-sectional anatomy, physiology and pathology knowledge. At some hospitals, sonographers may require an associate’s degree in addition to the ultrasound certificate.
